When the young Lo& 39;thar Mistshrouder of the Fikir Clan saved the even younger Lorelei Heartstealer of the Kar clan, all hailed it as the day when the two clans could end their ages-old war and usher in an era of peace and harmony. It was simple dumb-luck that Caelus was chosen at that time to be the next planet Suppressed by the mighty Va& 39;Shan Empire. Lorelei was taken to serve in the pleasure Sanctum of Kral, leader of the Va& 39;Shan. Lo& 39;thar, together with Lorelei& 39;s best friend Maegil and the Dragor Jo& 39;tal, are all that is left behind and they quickly discover that their magical abilities are no match for the advanced weapons arrayed against them.
