В конце декабря 1994 года 245-й гвардейский мотострелковый полк получил директиву Генштаба о переброске в Чечню.В полку было всего 170 человек… В считанные дни полк был развернут до штатной численности. Эта книга о том, что пережили и как воевали в Чечне солдаты всего лишь одного из полков Российской армии. Полк вел боевые действия под Грозным, освобождал от бандформирований Ведено и Шатой, а трагедия колонны полка под селением Ярышмарды 16 апреля 1996-го стала известна всей России.
