These hard to find baseboard returns have a smaller faceplate than standard baseboard grilles. Each grill has a depth from the wall of 7/8 and the faceplate is 1 1/4 larger than the listed size. When ordering you want to make sure to measure your actual hole opening size and base the order off that. The 12 x 8 size is 13 1/4 x 9 1/4 overall.
