Sterling Seal & Supply proudly offers Lamons fasteners.Lamons Fastener Division (formerly South Texas Bolt & Fitting) is an ISO 9001:2015 manufacturer of industrial bolting providing a wide range of services to the oilfield and industrial markets.Lamons stocks a full line of all thread studs and nuts in various finishes plain finish cadmium plated Teflon coated as well as in a wide range of materials B7 B7M B8 B8M B16 L7 L7M etc. What is b7 threaded rod? B7 studs have very high tensile strength and are generally used in high pressure & temperature environment like petroleum or chemical industry for flanges. It is generally coupled with 2H NUTS. ... Note: B7 studs are similar to B16Stud Bolts ASTM 193 with the absence of Vanadium. B7 Threaded Rod. These rods are made from a Chromium Molybdenum alloy steel and are heat treated to a tensile strength of 125 000 psi minimum and a 105 000 psi yield strength. They are used for bolting flanges valves and other maintenance applications where strength is important.WHY USE BLUE PTFE COATING OVER OTHER FINISHES? Fluoropolymer metal coatings advantages include extreme durability and low wear. However during assembly of fasteners in the field the coating can sometimes be damaged. With most other fluoropolymer coatings this results in exposed bare metal that quickly begins to show corrosion and causes the coating to fail. Our metallic base coat ensures superior corrosion resistance and continues to provide protection even under the harshest conditions. Lamons ensures the highest quality control of all orders big or small. Each order fastener is checked for cure thickness adhesion and overall coverage. Concentrations and temperatures of all solutions and chemicals used in the process are strictly controlled and written records are maintained. Our advanced computer controlled automated equipment keeps the coating thickness precise and extremely uniform. Great care is taken during the process so that fasteners with a specified minimum hardness of Rockwell C32 or higher are not exposed to the absorption and entrapment of hydrogen which can cause hydrogen embrittlement failure. Why are studs stronger than bolts? Studs provide the ability to obtain much more accurate torque values because the studs don t twist during tightening as do bolts. Because the studs remain stationary during nut tightening the studs stretch in one axis alone providing much more even and accurate clamping forces. 2H Heavy Hex (2H HH) nuts are a common high strength nut used with many different stud s including A193 B7 A325 A490 F1554 105 and others. Heavy hex nuts are slightly larger and thicker than standard (finished) hex nuts.
