Star Trek has sealed its place in history as one of the most epic science fiction franchises that has captivated generations of fans throughout the world. Star Trek, the game has been developed as a continuation to the successful Star Trek reboot movie that came out in 2009. Fans of Star Trek, science fiction and adventure games need not look further to satisfy their thirst for some high quality action in space. The likeness of the 2 leading actors Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto from the 2009 movie has been retained for the game. The voices for the characters are also voiced by cast members of the movie. Star Trek is an action-adventure game with both single player and multiplayer modes. This third person shooter game packs in a whole lot of action and entertainment that will leave you wanting more from the series. This version of Star Trek is developed for the PlayStation 3 by Digital Extremes and co-published by Paramount Pictures and Namco Bandai Games. This science fiction game has an ESRB rating of T which stands for teens and above as it may contain animated blood, some strong language and violence. The plot of this game has been written by the talented Marianne Krawczyk, who previously worked on successful games such as God of War and Shank. Synopsis and Features The Gorn, a ruthless alien race is attacking the New Vulcan colony with plans to exterminate the inhabitants and drain the resources of the planet. Captain Kirk and Spock have to find a way to stop the invasion and save the lives of the inhabitants. Play the game from familiar locations such as the bridge, engine and transporter rooms while giving orders to fly the U.S.S Enterprise to the location of the mission. Explore the universe by travelling to exotic planets and remote space stations on your way to New Vulcan. This game is designed to be one of the launch vehicles for the new Star Trek universe. Play the single player campaign as either Captain Kirk or Spock, two of the greatest science-fiction heroes ever. Or play in the multiplayer mode where the two contrasting styles of Kirk and Spock complement each other and make for amazing gameplay. Kirk’s weapon of choice is a phaser equipped with stun setting and his usual fighting style is to go out guns blazing. Spock on the other hand is calm and calculated. Spock's weapon freezes enemies and is much quieter. Spock's stealth techniques also includes the Vulcan nerve pinch and mind meld. As you progress through the game you gain experience, allowing you improve your weapon by unlocking additional settings. Your friends can drop in and play co-operatively whenever you need help with a tough situation.
