This game offers 11 playable leagues and more than 51 playable nations. Leagues can be created and lower-level leagues can be added to the roster of leagues that are present in this game. The match engine has been tweaked to give the user an improved A.I., player animation, lighting, kit models, individual player character, more realistic player reactions to incidents on-field and more! Football Manager 2014 has been integrated with Steam Workshop so as to allow the user to share content like logo/photo packs, competitions and user-created challenges by utilizing the new Challenge Editor. A revamped transfer module ensures that other managers and clubs have a realistic approach when it comes to creating transfer offers or reciprocating to them. Other additions include real-world transfer clauses like loaning a player to the club he’s been purchased from, the ability to offer a combo of loan and cash players, and contract clauses like a sub-bench appearance fee. The standard turn-based system of transfer negotiations has been altered to allow two-way deals. Interactions between managers, players, their rivals and the media have been enhanced as well; for example, coaching staff members give feedback on how the young and reserve players of the user’s team are performing. Managers can inform the squad about their performance and place targets for upcoming seasons at end-of-season meetings. Contract negotiations have been made more realistic in Football Manager 2014. Managers can now handle club matters from their inbox as the news system has been improved. Furthermore, star players will give a testimonial when they leave their club after a certain duration or due to retirement.
